OTAN Straps Compatible with Selected Tudor Black Bay Watches
OTAN: our recommended ZA fabric strap for compatible Tudor Black Bay models.
OTAN pairs British-made webbing with ZA hardware in a traditional multi-pass construction. It offers a practical fabric alternative to a bracelet or two-piece strap, with a choice of colours and Brushed Steel or Black hardware.
ZA Strap Company is an independent manufacturer and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Tudor. Tudor and Black Bay are trademarks of their respective owners; names are used here to identify the watches discussed.

Check your Black Bay reference before ordering
Black Bay is a family of watches, not a single strap size. Case diameter does not tell you the lug width. Identify your exact reference and check its specification before choosing OTAN.
| Model and example reference | Lug width | OTAN selection |
|---|---|---|
| Black Bay 54 — M79000N-0001 | 20mm | 20mm; also check spring-bar clearance. |
| Black Bay 58 — M7939A1A0NU-0002 | 20mm | 20mm; also check spring-bar clearance. |
| Black Bay One 41 — M79680-0004 | 22mm | 22mm; also check spring-bar clearance. |
| Black Bay 41 — M7941A1A0RU-0001 | 21mm | No matching OTAN width in the current 20mm/22mm options. |
These are reference-specific sizing examples, not a fit guarantee for every watch in each range. Tudor's specifications: Black Bay 54, Black Bay 58, Black Bay One 41 and Black Bay 41.
Why choose OTAN?
OTAN is the original ZA retention system, using a traditional military-inspired arrangement with British-made webbing and our own hardware. Its multi-pass construction places fabric beneath the case; consider that extra thickness if you prefer your watch to sit close to the wrist.
Choose the width first, then your hardware and colour. Neutral colours offer a restrained look; contrasting colourways make the strap a more prominent part of the watch.
Fitting and clearance
- Confirm the exact lug width and choose the matching strap width.
- Check that the webbing can pass between the spring bars and case without forcing it.
- Use suitable spring bars in good condition and make sure they seat securely. If unsure, ask a watchmaker to fit the strap.
- Follow the strap's threading instructions, then check the buckle, retention and wrist adjustment before wearing.
Width alone does not establish fit: spring-bar shape and bar-to-case clearance also matter. Contact ZA with your watch reference and wrist measurement if you need help.
Questions about Black Bay straps
Does every Black Bay use 22mm straps?
No. The examples above include 20mm, 21mm and 22mm widths. Check the specification for your reference.
Can I order OTAN for a 21mm Black Bay?
OTAN currently offers 20mm and 22mm options. Neither is an exact width match for 21mm lugs. Contact us before ordering; do not assume a wider strap can be forced into place.
Is this an official Tudor strap?
No. OTAN is an independent ZA product. This guide explains how to assess compatibility with selected Black Bay watches.
What about the Pelagos FXD?
For that fixed-bar watch, we recommend Commando. See our Pelagos FXD compatibility guide.
